SpectraLayers 12 is a spectral audio editing software designed for restoration, cleaning, and source separation within a recording. It is intended for producers and sound engineers as well as sound editors and mixers in audiovisual fields, when intervention precision must go beyond a simple waveform editor.
Whether you work on a voice recorded in a home studio, a drum multitrack, a podcast, or a film soundtrack, SpectraLayers helps you extract elements, reduce artifacts, and reconstruct a clearer and more musical signal.
This version highlights updated separation algorithms, effective across many styles and content types. The extended drum mixing allows deeper isolation of rhythmic elements, while custom instrument extraction opens the way for targeted processing: correction, replacement, reamping, or preparation of elements for remixing.
In post-production, SpectraLayers can decompose a soundtrack into separate layers of dialogue, music, and effects. This simplifies balancing, cleaning voices amid musical backgrounds, and optimizing intelligibility without degrading the rest of the mix.
Vocal processing gains transparency with less noise and fewer artifacts. Tools like automatic plosive attenuation and vocal resynthesis help correct imperfect takes, while faster transcriptions support workflows oriented towards editing, ADR, and documentary production.
New workflows improve editing speed: simultaneous work on multiple layers, enhanced copy/paste functions, and more precise fade controls. Additional utilities and visualization options complete the package to maintain clear spectral reading, even on dense sessions.
