The Epiphone SG Standard features a double-cut mahogany body that offers unhindered access to all 22 frets. The glued-in mahogany neck adds to the model's renowned sustain. The neck has a Slim Taper C profile for fast playing and is topped with a bound laurel fingerboard equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and adorned with pearloid trapezoid inlays. The 12-inch radius of the fingerboard allows for easy chord playing in the first position while ensuring that bends do not lose their tone when played. High-quality Grover® Rotomatic® tuners and a Graph Tech nut, combined with a fully adjustable Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and a Stop Bar tailpiece, work together to maintain tuning stability and rock-solid intonation. The Epiphone SG Standard is equipped with a pair of Epiphone ProBucker humbucking pickups that deliver all the vintage SG tones you could ask for. A ProBucker 2 humbucker is in the neck position, and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 is installed in the bridge position. Each pickup is wired to its own volume and tone controls, as well as a three-way selector switch, allowing you to use either pickup alone or blend them to suit your mood and muse.
