A new SG for modern times
The all-new Gibson SG Modern incorporates many contemporary updates that players have embraced. It is much more than a classic "solid guitar"; it is a hybrid between an SG and a Les Paul. Shaped and scarf jointed like a classic SG, the body is made with an AA maple top and a mahogany back, characteristic of a Les Paul. This combination is renowned for its resonance and sustain. The genuine ebony fingerboard, 24 frets with a compound radius, and the asymmetrical slim taper neck allow fast and smooth access to the highest frets. A pair of calibrated BurstBucker Pro Alnico V humbuckers deliver firepower, and the push-pull controls let you switch between the Gibson humbucker and P90 single-coil sounds, both of which have defined so many music genres across multiple generations since we invented them. Premium appointments include genuine mother-of-pearl inlays, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and transparent knobs.
