Ernie Ball needs no introduction, the most popular string brand! Innovation and originality are the order of the day for these strings whose reputation is well established. Tested and approved by thousands of musicians! The reference in electric strings, a balanced yet bright sound!
Inexpensive, good tuning stability, and durable!
The method is classic, but proven: hexagonal steel wire, tin-plated around which a steel wire is wound. With a little Fast Fret after each use, they will last until winter.
Take a look at the back of the pack, just to see the names of all the six-string monsters who use them...

As mentioned in previous comments, perfect for drop D (System Of A Down, among others): they hold tuning superbly well, and are not floppy during play, due to the higher gauge than the Slinky classic. Recommended for Metal or any other genres with... brutal tones!

Top notch! Well-present bass and enhanced sustain. I find it much more balanced than a standard gauge. I sometimes use a .09 high E string on my '52 Telecaster which has a fairly round neck and a fairly high string action. I gain in playing fluidity!

Mounted on a Cort EVL X5 for heavy drop D then standard E tuning. It works well. You could almost go one notch higher depending on the needs. It improves the metal sound by one tone lower :)

Good value for money, the sound is good, the comfort as well. Provided you take a little care of your instrument, the lifespan is reasonable.

Ideal for giving more power and richness to the sound When tuning one tone lower for example: A sound rich in harmonics

The ideal tuner for drop D tuning, the tension is nickel chrome. Moreover, they have more than decent longevity.
