Description
The Voco-Loco is an effects loop pedal that allows the singer, saxophonist, or trumpeter to integrate guitar effects into the signal chain, just like an electric guitarist adds effects to their solos. The Voco-Loco is essentially a high-quality microphone preamp designed to accept both a standard dynamic microphone or a condenser microphone by activating the built-in 48V phantom power. A 2-band EQ with shelves for bass and treble frequencies allows adding warmth and definition to the sound. The signal is then routed to guitar pedals via a high-impedance, transformer-based effects loop circuit for maximum isolation, featuring a 'send' and a 'return', thus optimizing the signal-to-noise ratio and reducing distortion. The Voco-Loco is also equipped with a tone control on the reinjection, which smooths out the excess brightness of certain pedals. The 'blend' allows mixing between the direct and processed signals to fine-tune the effect's presence in the overall sound. Simply plug your microphone into the Voco-Loco via the XLR input, connect your effects pedals using standard jack cables, then connect the Voco-Loco output to your console input. One switch activates the loop while the second offers a dual function, both as a mute to cut the microphone between songs or as an effects loop with 100% mix for special situations where the 'dry' signal is not desired.
