The Catalina Maple hardware includes the round "gas cap" bass drum mount and the improved low-profile, out-of-shell GTS Tom Suspension System 2025, which provides significantly longer sustain and a more natural sound for the toms. The 2025 upgrade also includes the new Full Range Throw Off system and the new counterpart on all Catalina snares, ensuring improved and more reliable functionality. Gretsch T-Wing screws and bolts are included on all fittings for a pleasant feel for the drummer, and the die-cast rubber-isolated bass drum claws help maintain the bass drum hoop’s new appearance.
The 7-ply maple shells made with the Gretsch formula feature 30-degree bearing edges and a natural interior. The bass drums are equipped with telescopic bass drum spurs and matching maple hoops. The toms and snares come with 2.3 mm triple-flanged hoops. All shells are fitted with Remo® heads.
