I cannot compare with other systems or other strap-lock models, as these are the first ones I have purchased... In any case, the finish is perfect, and after inquiries before purchase, it is one of the most reliable, durable, and one of the prettiest models. The screws provided are bigger and longer than the original screws of my "SCHECTER CV-5" bass, but I just had to tighten a bit to "form" a new thread in the guitar body; the original screws of my bass being too short and smaller in size to fit and support these magnificent "ERNIE BALL" strap-locks. N.B.: apply candle wax on the screw thread, or Marseille soap, but wax is best, and do "tightening/loosening" gradually while penetrating the wood of the guitar body, thus "forming" the new screw location. Easy to install on the strap (use a 13mm wrench), and in use, it's just fun, cool, fast, effective. The action and pressure to apply is perfect and will prevent accidental detachments, especially since you have to press both buttons at the same time. Finally, the original rounded shape of these "Super Locks" does not damage the inside of my carrying case, unlike classic systems, which generally have a small ball-shaped end that tends to "wear out" the inside of cases or suitcases by friction. For me, the price is justified, I now feel like my strap is mounted on ball bearings, and know that they come in black or gold. I recommend it.

During my last order of this model, there were no foams to place between the guitar and the screwed part. I don't know if it's an oversight or stinginess from Ernie Ball but it's lame. Schaller is cheaper and thinks about this kind of detail...

Among the quick-release systems, this one is really well designed, because even when the nut is unscrewed, the guitar cannot fall, which is not true for the Schaller. Very easy to install, nice presentation, easy to remove. Attaches to the strap with a 12mm wrench.

Excellent Straplocks made in Taiwan, very well finished, sturdy, very good quality. Use a 13mm flat wrench and a ratchet Phillips screwdriver. Fortunately, Woodbrass explained in French how to assemble it, because the American manual is incomprehensible (and unreadable, cf. lowercase characters). Two small diagrams would have sufficed. It's international after all... Fast shipping like lightning, by tracked letter. Pair of straplocks sold in a factory-sealed bag; the pouch closes to prevent oxidation. Thank you Woodbrass!
