The Sela Melody handpans provide an affordable entry into the world of handpans without compromising on sound quality or craftsmanship. The D Amara tuning (fundamental frequency 440 Hz) is one of the most popular handpan scales. The central note in the middle of the handpan is D3, around which the notes A3, C4, D4, E4, F4, G4, A4, and C5 are arranged in a circle. Thanks to its clear-sounding D minor scale, the D Amara can be used to play a wide variety of melodies, ranging from peaceful meditation to melancholy, as well as power and cheerfulness. This model is therefore suitable both as a solo instrument and for playing with other handpans or instruments such as tongue drums, guitar, or percussion.
Each Sela handpan comes with a ripstop nylon fabric case that, thanks to its good padding, offers optimal protection during transport. It can be carried either by hand using the two handles or comfortably as a backpack thanks to adjustable shoulder straps.
