A Sheraton Masterbilt Endorsed by Gem Archer
The Sheraton is an original Epiphone design launched in 1958. This
Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton edition is directly inspired by the historic model gifted by Noel Gallagher and still used by Gem. It features the luxurious Sheraton aesthetic and the high standards of the "Inspired by Gibson Custom" models with the Double Diamond engraved on the back of the headstock, creating a signature instrument faithful to the original spirit.
For Whom and Which Styles?
Designed for
intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a versatile semi-hollow, it excels in
britpop,
indie rock,
blues,
soul, and
jazz. The 1960s "C" neck profile and balanced craftsmanship also make it accessible to motivated players looking for a first high-end guitar capable of evolving with them on stage and in the studio.
Sound
The
Gibson USA Mini Humbuckers deliver a bright attack, clear highs, and defined mids, with less muddy low end than a full-sized humbucker. The
5-ply maple/poplar body adds brightness and projection, while the
maple center block extends sustain and limits feedback at high volume. The
ABR-1 bridge + trapeze tailpiece adds warmth and nice openness to chords. Independent
2 volume / 2 tone controls and the
3-position selector switch allow you to go from sparkling clean to tight crunch, then to precise and punchy leads.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To respect the 24.75" scale length and maintain the original balance, choose
nickel electric strings gauge 10-46 (or 9-46 for a softer feel). A
standard strap (50?60 mm) fits the original strap buttons. Add a quality
6.35 mm jack cable and, for maintenance, a
bi-directional case humidifier suitable for the included hard case. A
clip capo for electric guitar will suit the "C" profile neck.
