The ES-335 is a Gibson ES model that has impressed guitarists worldwide for over six decades. Since its launch in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 set an unmatched standard and remains one of the most beloved and versatile electric guitars in the world today. Whatever style of music you play, from rock to blues, country to metal, the versatility of the ES-335 lets you do it all. This ES-335 is no exception and is now available in custom colors that are sure to turn heads. The body of the ES-335 is made of layers of maple, poplar, and maple for the top, back, and sides. It is paired with a solid maple center block to create the sustain, warmth, and resonant tone that musicians seek in a semi-hollow body instrument. The solid maple center block also helps control the unwanted feedback often affecting hollow body guitars. The mahogany neck features an extremely comfortable and easy-to-play rounded "C" profile. It is neither too big nor too small, but "just right" for many players. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius that allows for effortless chord playing and string bending, adorned with acrylic dot inlays and equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets. A Graph Tech® nut and Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons help maintain tuning stability, while the nickel-plated ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece firmly anchor the strings at the other end to deliver the exceptional sustain the ES-335 is famous for. Gibson's calibrated T-Type humbucker pickups in lead (bridge) and rhythm (neck) positions offer a wide palette of tones and further enhance the ES-335's exceptional versatility. They are hand-wired to individual volume and tone knobs with 500k potentiometers and Orange Drop® tone capacitors, as well as a three-way selector switch that lets you use either pickup individually or blend them as you wish, since each is controlled by a separate volume knob. The control knobs are elegant black Top Hats with silver reflectors. A Gibson case is also included to keep the ES-335 safe when you head to your next gig.
