Maple Body with Spruce Center Block
The John Gourley Broadkaster features a double-cutaway arched maple body with a chambered spruce center block under the top. The spruce center block provides an open and airy sound while maintaining the guitar’s clarity, elasticity, and attack.
USA Full'Tron Pickups
In addition to the classic Gretsch chime, balance, and brightness, the USA-made Full'Tron pickups were designed by the renowned Tim Shaw to deliver a full tonal range with a distinctive growl, offering a slightly more pronounced midrange focus that adds even more tonal muscle when playing at full volume with overdrive and distortion.
Exclusive Cleon Peterson Design
Along with the Iridescent Black metallic finish and silver binding, the John Gourley Broadkaster is adorned with an exclusive illustration by acclaimed artist Cleon Peterson. From the cloud-shaped fretboard inlays to the truss rod cover and metal headstock badge, as well as the graphic on the pickguard, Cleon’s artistic touches add a unique and distinctive aesthetic not found on any other guitar.
