Building on the double cutaway shape made famous by the Starfire IV, V and VI, the Starfire I DC has a semi-hollow body using a central mahogany block reducing feedback and greater sustain. The Starfire I DC maintains the airy, clean tone you would expect from a semi-hollowbody. The Starfire I DC Cherry has an elegantly belted mahogany table, back and sides. The 24 3/4 ?scale and the slim and modern U-shaped neck profile allow quick and fluid playing and the neck / body joint at the 18th fret allows easy access to the treble of the fingerboard. The Premium Guild Vintage 18 tuners with their 18: 1 gear ratio and the Tune-o-matic bridge guarantee tuning and harmonic stability. Guild's HB-2 Alnico II humbucker pickups deliver a rich vintage tone and push-pull single-coil switching is possible from either microphone.
