Originally called Custom Custom Custom, this pickup was born in the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop, after being requested by guitarists seeking a clearer version and in AlNiCo 5, of the popular Custom Custom humbucker. It is characterized by a high output level and a full sound with scooped mids and a nice balance between bass and treble. This very versatile pickup is suitable for all types of music and playing styles. For a perfectly balanced setup, pair it with the '59 (SH-1) or Jazz (SH-2) models in the neck position.
Made in Santa Barbara, California, the Custom 5 uses an Alnico 5 magnet, a nickel-silver baseplate, a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options.
