The SmartLav+ is a professional-grade wearable microphone suitable for cinema, television, live reporting, and other situations requiring a highly discreet recording system without the complexity and cost of additional wireless equipment. The SmartLav+ can be used as a traditional lavalier/lapel microphone and plugged into the headphone jack of a smartphone or tablet that records using the iOS RØDE Rec app or another audio application. Featuring a high-quality omnidirectional condenser capsule, it captures sound from 360°, providing great freedom for SmartLav+ placement and ease of use.

It comes with a wind/pop shield to minimize wind noise and plosives, as well as a sturdy clip with cable guide. The Kevlar® reinforced cable prevents damage caused by pulling or cable breakage. The SmartLav+ is designed for use with the RØDE Rec app for Apple iOS devices but also works perfectly with other apps accepting input signals via the headphone jack. RØDE Rec transforms an iOS device into a full-featured field recorder, offering numerous EQ presets, professional sound processing functions, and the ability to publish directly to SoundCloud and Dropbox from within the app.
