Thanks to intensive research and development, we designed the A.I.R.port with a unique internal structure that reflects sound waves and guides them to the output of a precisely positioned sound hole. This allows players to more clearly control what they play, enhancing the overall playing experience.
Keeping in mind the Advanced Acoustics concept - "Reimagining Acoustic Experience," we carefully designed the new shape of the Advanced Auditorium body, inspired by our research on the general shape of the Auditorium body. After many series of prototypes, the Advanced Auditorium body has a slightly wider size, which has been slightly shifted toward the neck. Thanks to these changes, this shape offers richer low mids and better balance between body and weight, which conventional Auditorium bodies tend to lack.
After more than two years of trial and error, research, and prototyping, Ibanez developed its exclusive X-M bracing specially for Advanced Auditorium guitar bodies to produce the best possible sound for stage and studio. The scalloped X-M bracing, tone braces, and carefully designed finger braces effectively transmit string vibrations from the bridge to the guitar body. This bracing offers a wide dynamic range and excellent response. The mids are slightly flared for better tonal balance, and the highs have the clarity of steel strings while retaining the warmth of nylon strings.
The solid Sitka spruce top offers a very wide frequency range, with shimmering highs, tight mids, and robust lows.
The Sapele back and sides provide warm and robust mids as well as a bright tone.
The Low Oval Grip neck allows easy strumming of chords.
The Purpleheart fingerboard highlights the beauty and rich sound of this bass.
The Purpleheart bridge transmits string vibrations directly to the body, resulting in a natural and warm tone.
Its straight and deep cutaway (from the 18th fret) and shaved side allow exceptional access to the higher frets.
The new headstock shape is the result of thorough research and studies. Its tapered shape reduces the guitar's weight and aligns the strings, improving tuning stability and reducing neck twist.
The Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp offers the extra punch of a built-in equalizer, as well as a convenient and easy-to-read digital tuner and a two-band equalizer, located on the top of the instrument.
The Ibanez T-bar Undersaddle pickup accurately transmits this full sound to any amplification system you connect it to.
These pins truly offer an advantage over traditional pins. Advantage™ pins are easier to remove and easier to install than standard pins. A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easier to grip and also prevents it from being pushed in too far. Better yet, with Advantage™, the pin and string stay in place.
