Controls
There are two stacked knobs on this bass. The upper knob of the stack closest to the body end is the treble boost/cut control, and the lower knob is the bass boost/cut control. The upper knob of the stack closest to the neck is the volume control, and the lower knob is the pickup balance control.
Frequency Response
The bass boost/cut frequency curve has a peak at 20 Hz and a variable bandwidth that narrows toward the treble, with a curve whose variable bandwidth becomes zero around 1000 Hz. The variable bandwidth becomes slightly larger in the high range than around 1000 Hz but returns to zero near 5000 Hz.
The variable range of the peak frequency is about ±15 dB. The treble boost/cut frequency curve creates a bell-shaped curve with a peak around 10,000 Hz and zero variable range around 100 Hz. The variable range of the peak frequency is about ±15 dB.
