Superb bass, impeccable quality. The only downside is the lack of balance, the headstock is very massive so when playing seated it is not balanced and tips forward but I imagine this is the case for all basses of this type. I recommend it 100% nonetheless because it sounds extremely good and moreover it is very beautiful!

My opinion after a few months of use: Bought to complement my US Fender Precision, my main instrument. Over the last 40 years I have owned several Jazz Basses, a Japan 1962, a Mexico, a US Jazz Bass Deluxe, and a Squier VM 70. I am surprised to find that in terms of sound, this is my favorite. Indeed, the Squier CV70 has more punch and thump than all the others. In the studio, I add no equalization and the sound is perfect with both pickups at the same volume. More than all the other JBs, it really has a vintage sound reminiscent of Bootsy Collins with James Brown. However, and this is unexpected for a JB that follows the tradition of 70s JBs, it is not really comfortable with slap. Unlike the Squier VM70 which slapped wonderfully, this bass is too "thumpy" for slap but well, slap is really not my thing anymore, I prefer the big vintage fat sound. I gave it 4 stars because the 15th fret on the G string buzzes a lot and I will have to take it to a luthier to fix that. It's a shame. I also changed the bridge and the tuners but the originals were acceptable. Otherwise, a great bass. I would have liked it in sunburst but when you are left-handed you can't be picky. As usual, everything was perfect with Woodbrass's service and delivery.... (Show more)

Very very good bass in terms of quality price. The neck is a bit thick but it is really pleasant to play and I am delighted with my purchase Only downside for me, the quality of the pots and the jack socket where you can see that savings had to be made

It sounds very good but the finishes are far from flawless. The varnish is poorly polished in different places and there are small scratches. It was not well adjusted. I am very surprised that the quality control of Squier/Fender is not stricter. Woodbrass offered me to return it but I was too lazy and since it sounds very good, I kept it. And it was able to be adjusted by the excellent luthier of the Paris store.
