Description

The Essentials to Know About the Gamechanger Audio PLUS Pedal

  • Piano-style "sustain pedal" to instantly transform a note or chord into a continuous layer, ideal for switching from rhythm to lead without losing the foundation.
  • Real-Time Audio Sampling: intelligent micro-loops of the most recent signal, for an organic, warm sustain very close to your original sound.
  • Dedicated FX Loop for sustain layers: insert your modulations, delays, or reverbs only on the "hold" part to create true ambient soundscapes.
  • Highly expressive foot control (brass pedal) + fine adjustments (Blend, Sustain, Rise, Tail) to sculpt the attack and decay.

"Damper / sostenuto" style sustain: the missing idea for pedalboards

The PLUS Pedal is directly inspired by the logic of piano sustain and sostenuto pedals, but applied to an audio signal. Rather than imitating a granular synth, it continuously analyzes and records your playing, then freezes the most usable part of the note or chord to generate a stable hold. The result: you get a playable "hold" in real time, designed as much for arrangement as for performance.

Who it's for, and in which styles the PLUS Pedal makes a difference

This sustain pedal is aimed at guitarists, bassists, and multi-instrumentalists who want to enrich their playing without triggering backing tracks. In post-rock, ambient, shoegaze, modern jazz, film music, or worship, it allows you to lay down a drone, a sustained chord, or a pad, then play over it while maintaining impressive clarity. In the studio, it becomes a sound design and layering tool; live, a "second musician" under your foot.

Controls, modes, and routing: designed for playing, not menus

The interface remains musical: you control the mix with BLEND, the length and stability with SUSTAIN, the volume rise of the layer with RISE, and the note release with TAIL. The GROUP/SINGLE and SPLIT/MIX switches open several hold behaviors and routing options. A dedicated jack allows adding an external footswitch to access a "Wet" mode (depending on configuration), and the SEND/RETURN effects loop processes only the sustain layers, for infinite textures without dirtying your direct signal.

Sound Character

The PLUS Pedal favors a natural and faithful sustain to the instrument: the hold preserves the imprint of your attack, with an "organic" feel closer to a musical freeze than a synthetic pad. By adjusting Rise and Tail, you can go from a clean hold (freeze type) to soft, cinematic swells. And if you deliberately trigger imperfect attacks, finger noises, or transients, it can also generate more "glitchy" and textured effects. It is found in very current approaches, from ambient to alternative rock, with guitarists known for their sound exploration like Ed O'Brien and Kurt Rosenwinkel.

Very nice pedal. It's sturdy. Now all that's left to do! Pedal without power supply, not great.
