Update
Requires a full license to operate.
This version is an upgrade (UPG) to Ozone 12 Advanced. It is intended for users who already own any paid iZotope product. During activation, verification may be required (account, serial number, or eligibility linked to your license history). If in doubt, make sure your existing iZotope product is properly registered and accessible before installation.
Ozone 12 Advanced is designed for audio mastering in both studio and home studio environments: balancing a mix, controlling dynamics, optimizing perceived loudness, improving translation across different listening systems, and delivering a master ready for streaming, video, or live performance. It integrates into your DAW as a plug-in (and depending on your workflow, can also be used for bus processing), allowing you to maintain a consistent, fast, and reproducible finalization process.
Whether you produce pop, rap, electro, rock, or film music, Ozone aims for a clear goal: to help you achieve a master that is clearer, stronger, and more competitive, while respecting the musicality and dynamics that define your mix's identity.
The low end is often the most challenging area to stabilize, especially when your room or speakers color the sound. Bass Control offers a modern approach based on machine learning to visualize, balance, and shape bass frequencies more easily. The goal is not to standardize your lows but to make them coherent and transferable from one system to another, without losing the energy of the kick and bass.
Do you have a bounce that's too squashed, a premaster that's too limited, or a file already pushed that lacks air? Unlimiter acts like a de-compression tool to restore the sense of dynamics and breathing. Useful for fixing an overly aggressive sound or for creating space before properly reprocessing the mastering chain.
Stem EQ allows you to equalize separate groups (such as vocals, drums, bass, instruments) from a simple stereo file. This is a major time saver when you don't have access to the project, when you receive a final mix, or when you need to quickly fix a frequency masking issue before delivery. You target the problem at its perceived source while maintaining a smooth mastering workflow.
The Master Assistant evolves with a "custom" workflow: you define your priorities (module selection, target LUFS level, genre targets, etc.), then Ozone proposes a coherent starting point. You gain speed on initial settings while remaining in control of the final choices: ideal for chaining projects, unifying an EP, or quickly testing multiple artistic directions.
The Maximizer module benefits from the new IRC 5 algorithm, designed to maintain a clear and punchy sound even when aiming for high levels. The expected result: a cleaner master in the transients, less harshness, and better stability in the high frequencies, without sacrificing musical intent.
