Use
The Ibanez AT100 is an excellent guitar. The combination of Dimarzio pickups is very versatile and the neck is very easy to play. The access to the high notes is perfect, nothing hinders the left hand. The hardware is of quality (the Gotoh locking tuners are even height adjustable...) and the woods are visibly selected (two-piece alder body, "quarter sawn" neck with a maple fingerboard). The guitar is rather light. No Andy Timmons signature on the instrument but it is the most Strat-like of the Ibanez so no doubt it will not go unnoticed. The Prestige case is light and very well finished with the usual tool pouch. The vibrato bar inserts like those of PRS: no screw or clip-on lug and it holds in any position. Note: the neck is quite thin at the nut (40mm instead of the usual 42mm on Strat-like guitars). Personally, it didn't bother me or require an adaptation time: you plug in the guitar and it plays by itself ;-) Rare guitar (the Japanese version is not cheap) but really worth paying attention to. I would definitely make this purchase again.... (Show more)
