This KH-V series is the latest collaboration between ESP and Kirk Hammett, lead guitarist of the legendary band Metallica. This LTD model is available in three finishes: Black Sparkle, Red Sparkle, and Metallic Gold.
As the lead guitarist of Metallica the greatest heavy metal band of all time Kirk Hammett has inspired generations of musicians over the past 40 years. Kirks solos define Metallicas signature sound, and he has relied on ESP for decades to craft guitars that meet all his needs. The LTD KH-V is the newest addition to the Kirk Hammett Signature series. This guitar comes in three versions: Black Sparkle with black hardware and pickguard; Red Sparkle with gold hardware and pickguard; and Metallic Gold with gold hardware and cream pickguard. The KH-V features a 3-piece maple neck-through construction and a korina body. Its Macassar ebony fretboard is adorned with pearloid inlays and 24 extra-jumbo frets. The guitar is powered by Kirks signature EMG Bone Breaker pickup set, with one volume control, one tone control, and a 3-way switch. The bridge is a TonePros with a through-body tailpiece, and the tuners are locking. This KH-V comes with a deluxe ESP hard case.
