My opinion is that it is not for a beginner in the sense that it does not let itself be tamed like that. A humbucker + single coil mix would certainly bring more nuances. But compared to many other necks, this guitar commands respect.

Very beautiful guitar. No defects found (and I am picky). For my use (loops and melodies in Ableton Live) this product is perfect. The sound is good and the pickups do the job I expect from them. Good service from Woodbrass.
