And you might get even more work thanks to the TM-6 PRO, which includes many natural and expressive V-Drums sounds in its sound library. For those stepping into hybrid drumming, this feature provides great comfort, allowing you to use the same playing techniques as on an acoustic drum set. For example, you can achieve a traditional hi-hat response using V-Drums sounds and the module’s hi-hat control connector.

It can play any sound stored on an SD card, which you can then trigger from your acoustic kit. But that’s just the beginning. When the band leader asks you to bring new ideas for the next take, it’s easy to modify imported audio samples, combine them with the module’s sounds, add its powerful built-in effects, or switch or mix sample layers depending on the strength of your stick hits.
An ambitious first step towards a hybrid drum set
If you are evolving as a drummer, your kit needs to evolve too. The TM-6 PRO is the gateway to a hybrid kit that could help you get more gigs. It’s easier than you think to expand your sound palette. Simply connect Roland pads, triggers, and pedals to the module’s six Trigger inputs, expandable to twelve inputs using optional Y-cables. You will then have a kit that swings, has style, and responds to your hits at lightning speed. To be fully versatile, the TM-6 PRO has four direct outputs, which can operate as four mono channels or two stereo channels to allow individual sound processing. It is also possible to have six mono outputs or three stereo outputs when setting the main outputs to Direct mode. You can assign a playback or click track to a specific direct output. It’s your kit, manage it as you wish.
Change sounds quickly in the heat of the moment
Plans can quickly be disrupted on stage, causing many headaches for a drummer playing an acoustic kit. Thanks to the TM-6 PRO, you can relax with easy and intuitive handling of your trigger module. Using the three Sound Modify knobs on the front panel, without entering the advanced editing menu, you can access many parameters such as volume, pitch, and decay, as well as pitch rate from -2 to +2 octaves. You can easily tune electronic sounds to acoustic sounds. Turning the control group knob allows you to modify the Transient attack and release or the MFX using these three knobs. When you adjust parameters of one of the 30 MFX types, the most relevant parameters for each type are pre-assigned to the knobs for more intuitive editing. The TM-6 PRO also gives you an advantage in the studio with its new Transient effect that allows smooth control of attack and release. Whatever the musical director asks, you will be able to deliver.
LEDs to assess the situation at a glance
For stage drummers, nothing is more frustrating than hardware issues that prevent you from focusing on the music. In the heat of the moment, the TM-6 PRO provides all the information you need at a glance. Its LEDs respond instantly to your hits on the six sensor-equipped heads or rims. The sound modification buttons are also equipped with LEDs to provide immediate visual feedback on parameter values. This feature lets you feel in total control of your kit and fully immerse yourself in the music.
Enhance your concerts with playback tracks and click tracks
Increasingly, the ability to launch playback and click tracks is essential for drummers. The TM-6 PRO makes it easy to use them in rehearsal or concert. Playback tracks stored on an SD card can be triggered directly from your kit. You can play all or part of your setlist to practice songs or launch a full track in concert. When exporting these tracks from your computer, you can include corresponding click tracks. Simply place the WAV files of the playback track and the click track on your SD card, and they will be triggered simultaneously. You can route the click track only to the headphone output or make it audible to other band members.
A versatile partner for creating music in the home studio
As a modern musician and composer, every additional piece of gear must be compatible with your home studio. Highly versatile, the TM-6 PRO can function as a MIDI converter with an audio interface. Using a simple USB cable, you can trigger playback and click tracks stored on your computer. The audio/MIDI interface functionality offers up to eight inputs and eight outputs, with impressive sampling rates (44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, and 96 kHz), as well as MIDI In/Out. Each audio In/Out is assigned to each of the TM-6 PRO outputs: Phones L/R, Master L/R, and Direct 1 to 4. The possibilities are numerous: for example, you can send your computer’s playback track to a direct output of your choice or record audio from a specific direct output into your computer via USB audio.
