The V51 features the same audio engine as the flagship V71 model, offering impressive realism thanks to multi-sampling and behavioral modeling. Each strike benefits from thousands of dynamic variations for a smooth and organic response, faithful to the feel of an acoustic drum kit. The result is detailed, precise, and remarkably musical.
Featuring a multi-channel USB-C audio/MIDI interface, the V51 integrates seamlessly into any production or performance environment. It also offers inputs for analog and digital pads, direct outputs, a headphone port, a stereo mix input, and Bluetooth connectivity for playing along with your favorite songs. Built-in Wi-Fi allows you to download sound expansions via Roland Cloud Connect.
The module provides several functions designed to help you progress: Coach modes (Time Check, Quiet Count), Phrase Trainer, Stroke Monitor, and Blast Beat Builder. These tools help you work on your precision, consistency, and playing dynamics. A 6-month subscription to Roland Cloud Ultimate is included, allowing you to easily expand your library of sounds and kits.
The V51 offers a clear and fluid interface, with a 4.3-inch color screen and six dedicated faders for instantly adjusting the volumes of each section (kick, snare, toms, cymbals, hi-hat, ambience). The Quick Sound Modify button makes it easy to adjust essential settings such as tuning, damping, and volume. A software editor for Mac and Windows will soon be available, allowing you to edit your kits directly from a computer.
