Within the EUROLIVE range, the B15X embodies a decidedly modern approach to sound reinforcement: high power, onboard digital processing, and remote control functions, all while maintaining an easy-to-transport format. It continues the legacy of Behringer active speakers designed to offer maximum versatility for gigs, rehearsals, events, and music playback, with quick setup and long operating autonomy thanks to the integrated mixer.
The Behringer B15X targets DJs, bands, hosts, associations, rental companies, and technicians who want an active speaker capable of filling a room with solid bass while remaining simple to set up. Its trapezoidal enclosure allows use on a stand (35 mm pole mount), placed vertically (including on a subwoofer), or laid flat as a stage monitor. In a minimalist setup, you can connect a microphone and a line source directly to the speaker; in a more complete setup, it integrates perfectly behind a console and can feed a second speaker via its Link output.
The B15X features a 3-channel digital mixer with two combo XLR/6.35 mm jack inputs accepting balanced and unbalanced signals for dynamic microphones and line-level sources. Navigation is done via a single rotary encoder and dedicated buttons (Process, Setup, Exit, Enter), while the backlit LCD screen facilitates access to settings. A key advantage for gigs: gain settings can be recalled, helping you quickly restore a consistent balance from one set to another.
From the moment the signal enters, the Klark Teknik digital processing takes over to refine reproduction and protect the system. You have a 3-band equalizer, presets adapted to the application type and speaker positioning, as well as protection tools (compressor/limiter and HF/LF management). The result: a more stable sound when levels rise, and faster fine-tuning when switching from "music" to "voice" or "monitor" use.
Integrated Bluetooth connectivity allows easy music streaming from a smartphone, tablet, or compatible computer. For gigs where you need control without staying glued to the rear panel, the iOS/Android app offers remote control of key parameters. Settings can also be locked to prevent unwanted adjustments, a real plus for hosting, bars, multipurpose rooms, or rentals.
The B15X is designed to accept a USB dongle-format ULM receiver (optional) and support up to two Behringer ULM microphones. This integration simplifies the stage: fewer cables, faster setup, and maximum mobility for speeches, hosting, or vocal performances. The wireless link operates on the 2.4 GHz band.
With its Class D amplification, the B15X aims for an excellent power-to-weight ratio while limiting consumption and heat. Bi-amplification (separate amps for low and high frequencies) combined with active crossover contributes to better signal definition, especially useful when pushing the system in live contexts. Add to that a 15-inch long-excursion woofer and a 1-inch phenolic diaphragm compression driver: you get a speaker capable of adding body to a DJ playlist, presence to a voice, and clarity to an instrument.
