PROFESSIONAL ACTIVE SPEAKER ART 915-A

  • Up to 131 dB sound pressure level
  • Bi-amplification in Class D, total power 2100 W
  • Linear frequency response 50-20000 Hz
  • 1.75" compression driver
  • 15" bass driver
  • FiRPHASE zero-degree phase response technology
  • Bass Motion Control bass driver excursion management

The ART 915-A has been extensively researched to provide exceptional audio performance and great versatility for intensive audio applications. It combines a 1.75" compression driver, a 15" bass driver, a two-channel 2100W amplifier and a True Resistive Waveguide providing coherent coverage of 100° x 60 ° for distortion-free sound, reaching 131 dB SPL. Thanks to RCF exclusive FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control (BMC) DSP processing, the behavior of the speakers is precisely optimized on each model, for absolute clarity and deep, powerful bass on the audience side. The elegantly designed box uses a specific polypropylene composite with internal M-brace reinforcement. Easy to transport, it attaches to a mast, a wall, a structure or hangs using the numerous points provided for this purpose.

Power in motion

The most powerful amplifier in its category. RCF's improvements to its speakers make them more solid and powerful, the amplifier naturally accompanies this evolution. At 2100 W, the ART 9's 2-channel Class D amplifier is 50% more powerful than previous models, capable of handling extreme sound pressure levels with ultra-fast attack, realistic transient response and a very low heating. Thanks to its energy efficiency, the NX 9 Series does not need ventilation. The amplifier is plated to an all-aluminum heat exchanger on the back of the cabinet, with no moving parts. Being structurally attached to the internal frame, the amplifier is held firmly and securely within the cabinet. The new input circuit ensures low distortion, and an advanced limiter preserves the naturalness of the input signal, whatever its level. All ART 9 Series amplifiers are designed to EN62368-1 for maximum safety, and their switching power supply combines high efficiency with minimal weight.

New m-bracing box design< /strong>

The professional look of the ART 9 Series cabinet is ideal for live events or fixed installation applications. The elegantly designed cabinet uses a specific polypropylene composite, combined with a radically new construction concept. The protective grille, made of robust steel, protects the speakers and bass-reflex vents. The specially designed M-brace brace connects the four interior sides of the cabinet with the amplifier, preventing deformation. This results in a completely inert volume, with increased acoustic damping even at maximum volume. It also provides greater resistance to external mechanical stress.

Bass Motion Control

In order to extend the response in bass and improve performance, RCF engineers found a way to remove the high-pass filter, replacing it with an innovative approach. Introducing BMC (Bass Motion Control), a new advanced treatment for managing bass driver excursion. The speaker equipped with BMC processing can handle the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the stability of the bass driver, with extended linearity and more faithful rendering.

The BMC processing approach is relies on the complete mapping of the dynamic behavior of the bass driver, in order to generate a specific algorithm limiting only excessive excursions. It therefore leaves total freedom of signal reproduction to the loudspeaker. Normally used low-cut filters reduce the amount of travel that can damage the bass driver, but they also change the phase response. The new BMC processing allows you to overcome this rule.

New electroacoustic paradigms
< br />The innovative design of the ART 9 Series lies in the speaker cabinet. The new True Resistive Waveguide is the result of several improvements made to the design of the loudspeakers but also the bass-reflex ports using finite element analysis and numerous measurements in the anechoic chambers of RCF. Thanks to FiRPHASE technology, the new shape and location of the ports, the speaker now acts as an ideal point source for a perfect sound image. Acoustically, the TRW waveguide emulates a pure, resonance-free resistive load, reducing the high-frequency distortion of a conventional horn. With its asymmetrical design, the waveguide opening angle provides consistent directivity across the entire listening area and improved stereo imaging.

Exceptional speakers
< br />Lightweight and powerful, RCF speakers set the benchmark for high performance. All speakers are designed in Italy by RCF engineers for maximum reliability and perfect agreement between them.
Treble: The 1.75" voice coil attached to the polyimide-Kapton dome, is of new design. It uses unique bonding technology and reinforcing ribs, making it 10 times more rigid than previous models, for precision and longevity The redesigned phase piece increases sound clarity and improves transient response and coupling with the bass driver.
Bass: The bass driver design provides greater stability at higher currents, with less distortion and better heat management. RCF's quality control is particularly strict. tested with a continuous signal for 200 hours, in order to stress them to extreme levels. Only the best bass drivers are suitable for the ART 9 Series.

New perspective on linearity

RCF speakers are designed using advanced patented FiR filtering technology, developed to provide the listener with transparent sound, absolute precision and impeccable stereo images.
Special FiRPHASE filters achieve a consistent distribution of sound for all listeners without phase distortion, ensuring minimal latencies to the system.
