Essential Information About the HeadRush Flex Prime Multi-Effects
- Ultra-comprehensive guitar and bass multi-effects: over 600 models (amps, cabinets, microphones, effects, IRs, and clones) covering everything from crystal-clear cleans to modern saturations.
- Fast and intuitive editing thanks to the high-resolution 4-inch touchscreen, with a workflow designed for both playing and sound design.
- Power and smoothness: multicore DSP, up to 14 blocks per rig, preset changes without latency while maintaining delays and reverbs.
- Connected and creative: Wi-Fi, HeadRush Cloud, remote rig editor, 24-bit/96 kHz USB audio interface, and studio functions (re-amp).
A compact format that carries the HeadRush Prime/Core DNA
The Flex Prime condenses the HeadRush approach into a chassis designed for pedalboards and transport, while remaining compatible with presets, setlists, and clones from the Prime/Core ecosystems. Its "all-in-one" orientation emphasizes versatility: a large library of amps/effects, impulse responses, and modern tools (Wi-Fi, sharing, remote editing) to quickly move from an idea to a stage- or studio-ready sound.
Who is the Flex Prime for?
Ideal if you're looking for a
compact multi-effects unit to play at home, rehearse, record, or go live with a lightweight rig. Beginners will appreciate the factory presets and immediate usability, while experienced musicians will exploit advanced routing, stereo effects loop, and MIDI integration. Perfect for rock, metal, pop, blues, funk, as well as ambient textures thanks to delays, reverbs, and the multilayer looper.
Key Features: Editing, Routing, Cloning, and Studio
The Flex Prime allows building complex rigs with
5 types of signal paths and up to
14 DSP blocks (amps, cabinets, effects, etc.). Editing can be done directly on the touchscreen, hands-free via the expression pedal, or remotely on Mac/PC/tablet via Wi-Fi with no software required. For further customization, the Flex Prime comes with
ReValver Amp Cloner (Mac/PC): create your clones and SuperClones of amps, cabinets, and distortion pedals (an audio interface with mic input is required for cloning).
Sound Character
The sonic character aims for realism and dynamics: precise attack, good responsiveness to playing and volume variations, and an "amp" feel enhanced by cabinets and impulse responses. The models cover both articulate clean tones and expressive crunches as well as heavy saturations, with enough definition to maintain clarity in low tunings or on bass. Whether direct to console, FRFR monitor, headphones, or using the 4-cable method, the Flex Prime adapts to your setup without sacrificing sound coherence.
