Combre JEGOUX-KRUG LAURENCE - LE RYTHME AU FIL DES OEUVRES VOL.3

Description

The rhythm throughout the works is a repertoire aimed at music theory students (end of the 1st cycle and 2nd cycle). Each proposed acquisition follows a concern for the greatest possible diversity. From Purcell to Messiaen, from largo to presto, from piano to forte, from legato to staccato, rhythmic practice is varied here. All examples are taken from characteristic works where the rhythmic element is paramount.
The goal of this book is to place rhythmic work back into its musical context, serving the reading and performance of scores.
The use of this collection by the teacher can be broad: listening and memorization, spoken, struck, or danced imitation, reading, sung or instrumental reproduction.
Finally, this manual aims to inspire students to explore the works from which the examples are taken, to discover composers they are unfamiliar with, guided by their teacher, for whom I hope this foundational work can be a help in their teaching.
