The TYPE 20 MK2 is part of HEDD's studio monitor range designed as "all-rounders": a single speaker capable of handling varied tasks, from sound design to vocal editing, through mixing bass-heavy beats or working on acoustic arrangements. In this TYPE 20-R MK2 White version, you have the right speaker in a white finish, ready to integrate seamlessly into both demanding nearfield setups and multichannel configurations.
This active monitoring speaker is aimed at producers, mixers, and sound engineers who want a monitor that remains reliable across very different content: jazz, urban music, post-production, music for picture, or Atmos mixing. The Closed or Ported choice facilitates adaptation to the room (treated or untreated), while the built-in filters help limit the impact of placement on a desk or near reflective surfaces.
Featuring a 7-inch honeycomb woofer, a dedicated 4-inch midrange, and an Air Motion Transformer tweeter, the TYPE 20-R MK2 aims for clear separation of frequency ranges. Class D amplification (3 x 100 W modules) provides ample headroom, useful for maintaining impact without compressing transients, even at sustained levels.
The HEDD Lineariser (zero-phase filter) helps improve temporal coherence and image depth, while the Desktop filter reduces coloration caused by furniture reflections.
