Its ability to remain clean at high levels makes it particularly relevant in control rooms with a more distant listening position or to impress clients during "full range" listening sessions without losing detail finesse. The TYPE 30 MK2 features a 32-bit SHARC DSP and the HEDD Lineariser, a zero-phase filter designed to improve temporal coherence. The result: a more stable stereo scene, sharper transients, and easier reading of reverbs, delays, and subtle dynamic variations.
In Closed mode, the speaker favors very controlled listening, particularly useful for judging low-mid articulation and kick/bass precision. In Ported mode, you gain bass presence and extension, practical for validating the foundation of a mix without changing systems.
To adapt the response to the room, the TYPE 30 MK2 offers a Desktop filter (reduces reflections related to furniture), Hi/Low shelving filters, and a Bass-extension mode to increase the low end by up to 20%. It can also integrate into a Satellite-Subwoofer system in linear phase with the BASS 08 subwoofers. Finally, the speaker benefits from continuous feature support via the HEDD Access tool (downloadable separately).
