Description

Advanced design for the purest sound.
The BX4D3 are compact monitoring speakers, heir to the famous BX5 and BX8 developed by M-Audio that can be found in many amateur and professional studios. They offer the ultimate in current technology, at a very affordable price. Its 4.5 "military-grade black Kevlar driver and computer-optimized 1" natural silk-dome tweeter deliver 120 watts of crystal-clear sound to you with stereo imaging impressive. Its bass-reflex design, with a rear vent and acoustically neutral MDF cabinet, provides extended low-frequency response and full-spectrum frequency response.

Total control over your sound.
The BX4D3 features a cleverly designed control interface on the back of the speaker, allowing anyone to adjust the sound to suit the type of space and application, and connect any computer, mobile device or multimedia system. The High and Low equalization settings allow you to ideally adjust the sound reproduction for each listening environment, while the active speaker position switch lets you adjust its positioning, between right and left. Connections on the back of the speaker include a jack, minijack and RCA input. In addition, the BX4D3 have an auxiliary and headphone input in minijack format on the front for your tablet, computer or mobile device, offering maximum compatibility.

A complete production software suite.
These new audio monitors come with an ideal software suite for making podcasts, live streaming and music recordings with ease. M-Audio Has Teamed Up With Avid To Create A Special Version Of Pro Tools, A True Standard In The World Of Audio Recording, Called Pro Tools | First M-Audio Edition. M-Audio also includes 20 Avid effects plugins to help users record, mix and edit any audio project.

Used in a home studio in a very small room. The sound is exactly as I wanted: very neutral, to be able to mix in good conditions. One might possibly regret a lack of low frequencies (normal given the size) but this is not at all a dealbreaker for mixing, on the contrary actually. An excellent value for money from my point of view.
