I bought it to replace my original resonant head. What a difference! Combined with a Performance II on the strike, I get a round and powerful sound, just enough resonance, all without any muting/moongel/muffling. You tune it and it sounds right away, a sound I had never gotten from my floor tom. However, zero points for the Woodbrass package: the drumhead's packaging box was wrapped in bubble wrap and then in an opaque black plastic film. The whole thing was therefore not rigid. Upon unpacking, the drumhead's packaging box was dented and the head is scratched all over. Sure, it's under the floor tom so no one sees it, but it still sucks considering the price. Rather than free shipping at 20€, it would be better to take care of the protections...
