BLEASS Tides is a creative delay plugin designed to go far beyond simple synchronized repetition. It serves both to enrich a voice or guitar with musical and immersive echoes, and to transform a source (synth, piano, percussion, effects bus) into a moving texture. Its specialty is the creation of expressive stereo delays, capable of ranging from subtle slapback to modulated and evolving pads, with a strong focus on electronic production, ambient, modern pop, sound design, and post-production.
At the heart of Tides, the delay engine allows the repetition time to be adjusted in a progressive and controlled manner. Where some delays abruptly distort the signal during a time change, Tides offers a more musical behavior, either via a tape-style glide (ideal for organic transitions) or a clean crossfade between two settings. The result: time variations usable in automation, performance, and transition creation.
The color of the repeats is shaped right at the input thanks to a filter combining low-pass and high-pass with resonance, perfect for darkening a delay, brightening a signal, or isolating a frequency band to avoid mix clutter. Going further, the feedback path includes five insert points: you can load effects (distortions, filters, pitch and frequency shifting, ring modulation, and even an additional delay) to evolve each repeat, create controlled build-ups, granular textures, or harmonic spirals.
BLEASS Tides exploits rich modulation designed for stereo: stereo LFOs, envelope follower, and macros allow linking movements to signal dynamics, offsetting modulation left and right for a wider space, or controlling multiple parameters with a single gesture. It's an excellent tool for creating "trembling" effects, dub, chorus-delay, tempo-synced rhythmic movements, or more experimental effects via automation.
Tides introduces a revamped interface, clear and direct, enjoyable both on touch and with a mouse. The delay visualizer becomes a true play tool: in direct interaction, it can generate surprising and inspiring frequency shifting effects. For instant interventions, the Freeze (freeze repeats) and Kill (momentary cut) buttons facilitate creating accents, breaks, and performative gestures, whether in studio, on the go, or live.
