Essential Information About the "STEREOLAB" Software
- All-in-one stereo plug-in to widen, narrow, and position your sources, from solid mono to ultra-wide panning.
- 4 additional modules - "Widen," "M/S," "Stereo," "Width" - chainable in a fully customizable order.
- Simple and precise controls: independent L/R panning, Mid/Side gains, micro-delays for interaural time differences (ITD), and mono compatibility tools.
- Immediate visual feedback thanks to the built-in vectorscope for monitoring the image and avoiding phase issues.
What STEREOLAB Is For
Designed for mixing, mastering, sound design, and post-production, STEREOLAB sculpts the stereo image with great finesse. It transforms a mono take into a wide stereo field, organizes the soundstage to free up the center, enhances the bass while remaining mono-compatible, and creates believable movements without artifacts. Ideal for enveloping drums, massive synths, airy acoustic guitars, wider vocals, and immersive ambiances.
Main Features
"Widen": Natural Widening
This module generates a Side signal from any source while preserving the Mid. Perfect for adding width without blurring the central focus, especially on dense arrangements.
"M/S": Advanced Mid/Side Control
Adjust the gain of Mid and Side, apply M/S rotation to move energy within the stereo field, and introduce controlled movement, useful on pads, effects, and buses.
"Stereo": Panning and Interaural Delays
Access independent L/R pan, balance, and micro-delays to create ITD (Interaural Time Differences). Ideal for surgical placement, Haas effects, subtle doubling, or creative rotations.
"Width": Bandwidth Width Control
Narrow or open the width with a band split to selectively process the bass. Keep a centered and powerful low end while giving air to mids/highs, with ensured mono compatibility.
Reliable Workflow
Freely rearrange modules to tailor processing for each source, then validate your choices via the vectorscope. Bass bypass and width reduction tools prevent effect stacking and secure your masters.
