Whether you work in pop, rock, electro, hip-hop, film music, or ambient, this collection allows you to sculpt tone, widen the stereo image, thicken a vocal, transform a synth into an evolving texture, or add movement to a rhythm.
The collection highlights the pitch processing that made the brand famous. From MicroPitch for subtle widening and doubling, H910/H949 for more pronounced vintage colors, to the multi-voice harmonizations of Octavox and Quadravox, you have tools capable of going from natural thickening to bold transposition effects. Ideal on lead vocals and choirs, but also on guitars, pads, leads, and FX.
To create believable depth or cinematic ambiance, Anthology XII offers several approaches: massive and airy atmospheres with Blackhole, shimmering textures with ShimmerVerb, more "studio" signatures with SP2016 Reverb, not to mention hybrid colors like MangledVerb or UltraReverb. You can place your sources in the mix, enlarge the perceived space, or design reverb pads that become a musical element in their own right.
From subtle slapback to complex rhythms, the suite includes delays and modulations designed to add depth and animation. UltraTap lends itself to multi-tap echoes and envelope effects, while H3000 Band Delays and H3000 Factory offer distinctive and inspiring combinations. On the modulation side, TriceraChorus, Rotary Mod, Instant Flanger Mk II, Instant Phaser Mk II, and Undulator provide movement, stereo widening, and "signature" effects without weighing down the mix.
For everyday mixing, Anthology XII provides effective and musical tools: Omnipressor for compressions ranging from clean control to experimental, CrushStation for saturation and aggressive dynamics, as well as channel strip solutions like EChannel and UltraChannel. The equalizers EQ 45 and EQ 65 complete the set with a simple and direct approach to sculpt frequencies.
Mix coherence also depends on time and phase. Precision Time Align and Precision Time Delay are designed to align multi-mic takes, refine attack, and improve impact. SplitEQ offers a modern approach to equalization by allowing fine work on content, useful for clarifying a source, controlling resonances, or enhancing presence without harshness.
