Essential Information About SlowMo 2 Software
- Real-time "half-time" effect down to "quarter speed," ideal for hip-hop, trap, EDM, and sound design.
- 3-band multiband mode (Low/Mid/High) with independent settings: speed, pitch hold, octave, reverse, and dry/wet per band.
- Synchronization to DAW tempo (1/16 to 4 bars, dotted and triplet values) and speed control from "1" to "4.0" in 0.5 increments.
- High-quality audio thanks to oversampling, smooth transitions (Smooth, Blend, Fade In/Out), resizable interface, and preset manager.
What SlowMo 2 Is For
SlowMo 2 allows you to create half-speed textures, thicken basses, stretch vocals, or transform loops into hypnotic patterns. It excels for drops, transitions, breakdowns, and choruses while maintaining groove and transient clarity thanks to its mixing and synchronization tools.
Main Features
Basic Mode and Multiband Mode
Choose Basic Mode for an instant clean half-time effect, or switch to Multiband Mode to precisely target the desired frequency range: for example, slow down the lows without affecting the highs to preserve the attack of hi-hats.
Band Controls
Each band offers speed modes "Normal," "Pitched," or "Maintain," an octave setting, dedicated dry/wet, and a Reverse button. The "Start/End" cutoff frequencies define the Low/Mid/High split, with Solo/Mute for precise editing.
Global Processing and Transitions
Smooth reduces artifacts, Blend mixes the original over a portion of the loop length (ideal for preserving transients or creating rhythmic "flutter"), while Fade In/Out (fast/slow) ensures seamless crossfades. A global dry/wet finalizes the mix.
Synchronization and Creative Speeds
Choose rhythmic divisions from 1/16 to 4 bars (including dotted and triplets). The speed knob ranges from "1" (original speed) to "4.0" (quarter speed) in 0.5 steps, with "2.0" corresponding to half-speed. Reverse mode activates after the buffer is fully filled for stable playback.
Presets and Interface
Resizable interface and preset manager for quick saving/loading of your settings. Inspirational starting points are included: "Basic Halftime," "Basic Reverse," "Blurry Vision," "Back In Time," "Higher Dimension," "Mid Band Isolation," "Rhythmic Halftime," "Split Bands," "Super Slow Motion," etc.
