LANDR VoxDeEss is a de-esser plugin designed to clean up sibilance (harsh "s," "ch," "t" sounds) that tire the ear and make vocal takes difficult to mix. It is suitable for pop, rap, rock, and electronic productions as well as voice-over content, streaming, and podcasts, offering quick correction without altering the character of the singer or speaker. The goal is simple: a smoother, clearer voice that sits better in the mix while retaining feeling and presence.
VoxDeEss reduces sibilance transparently to keep the voice natural and open. The processing aims to avoid the "lisp" effect (muddled articulation) and loss of brightness, so the voice remains clear, lively, and pleasant, even on very close-mic recordings.
With threshold, speed, and ratio parameters, you precisely define when and how the reduction activates. This allows adaptation to differences in timbre, attack, and intensity between lead vocals, backing vocals, spoken voice, or podcast recordings.
The real-time visualizer shows exactly what is being reduced, speeding up adjustments and minimizing guesswork. The monitor mode (solo) helps target the problematic area, while automatic gain helps maintain consistent levels during tweaking.
The pre-delay enhances clarity by helping to target sibilance with finesse. The result is cleaner correction, especially useful on highly detailed vocals, sharp consonants, or recordings made with bright microphones.
