Analog Channel Native v7 is a coloration plugin designed to bring the character of analog into modern production. It can be used on individual tracks (vocals, drums, bass, guitars, synths) as well as on buses (drum bus, mix bus) to enhance the sense of depth, smooth the high end, thicken the low-mids, and provide overall cohesion to the mix.
Whether you are looking for subtle "console-like" warmth or a more pronounced tape effect, Analog Channel integrates naturally into a mixing and pre-mastering workflow, especially to give a more organic sound to ITB (in the box) productions.
The AC101 plugin operates like an adjustable analog amplifier. It allows adding musical harmonic saturation and slight natural compression, useful to make a source stand out in the mix, thicken a vocal, add bite to a snare, or round off a bass. Available in mono and stereo, it is ideal for building a coherent processing chain track by track, upstream of an EQ or compressor.
The AC202 emulates widely used tape playback systems, with options covering modern and vintage tape formulations. Controls inspired by professional tape machines (including bias, tape speed, and IEC1/IEC2 standards) allow fine adjustment of the balance between brightness, roundness, transient compression, and harmonic thickness.
To further refine the sense of realism, the AC202 includes a playback head emulation based on specifications and measurements from popular playback head manufacturers ("reproducers"). The result is a more credible rendering in texture, response, and the way the signal "imprints" itself in the mix.
Analog Channel Native v7 relies on double precision processing to preserve definition, especially during subtle adjustments and stacking of instances. The ultra low latency facilitates use in sessions, including on buses, without disrupting workflow comfort.
