Channel G Native v7 is designed to reproduce the experience of a console channel strip within your DAW, combining essential mixing processes into a coherent interface. It serves to control dynamics (cleaning, sustain, punch), shape the spectrum with a console-style EQ, and manage lows/highs using precise filters, all with an option for saturation to provide a more "hardware" feel.
Whether you work in a home studio or professional production, this suite is particularly effective for quickly equipping each track (vocals, guitars, keyboards, drums, virtual instruments) and for processing buses (drums bus, mix bus, groups) with a consistent sound and immediate ease of use.
Channel G Native v7 includes three complementary plug-ins to tailor processing to your needs: Channel G Dynamics for a full dynamics section, Channel G Equalizer for a 5-band mixing-oriented EQ, and Channel G Console which combines dynamics + EQ in a single instance. This setup optimizes your session: lightweight and targeted when needed, comprehensive when you want a true "all-in-one" channel strip.
The dynamics section features console essentials: Expander/Gate to reduce noise, clean a take, or tighten a room sound, and Compressor/Limiter to stabilize, add punch, and secure peaks. The compressor/limiter can operate before or after the EQ, which completely changes the feel: upstream compression to tame a source before equalizing, or downstream to "glue" the tone after frequency shaping.
The equalizer offers five bands combining shelving and parametric sections, suited to typical mixing moves: brightening a vocal, cutting a muddy low-midrange, emphasizing snare attack, or rounding off a bright instrument. The goal is a fast, effective, and musical result, like on a console, while retaining the flexibility needed for modern productions.
The integrated filters provide several modes (high pass, low pass, notch) with selectable slopes from 6 to 24 dB/Oct. This is a key tool to remove unnecessary subs, tame harshness in the extreme highs, or eliminate problematic resonances, both during recording and mixing.
As needed, Channel G Native v7 can stay clean and precise thanks to double precision processing, or add character via Analog Saturation Modeling. It all runs at ultra-low latency, a plus for monitoring, recording, and busy sessions. Mono and stereo versions facilitate track-by-track use and bus processing while maintaining chain coherence.
