Description

Essential Information About the ML8000 Native Software

  • Next-generation dual-stage limiter: a Multi-band Limiter (8 bands) followed by a Master Limiter for more precise peak control.
  • True "brick wall" look-ahead to secure output level and control peaks without unpleasant surprises at export.
  • Modern and transparent workflow thanks to multi-stage/multi-band detection and advanced Knee, Mode, and Focus settings.
  • Professional double-precision quality, with low latency and mono and stereo versions to suit all buses.

What ML8000 Native Is For

ML8000 Native is an advanced limiting plugin designed for mastering and level management in mixing. It allows you to increase perceived loudness, finely control transients, and stabilize output peaks while preserving clarity and signal balance. Whether you work on pop, EDM, hip-hop, rock, or film music, it provides a reliable solution to achieve competitive levels without crushing dynamics more than necessary.

Main Features

Dual-stage processing for smarter peak control

The philosophy of ML8000 Native is based on two independent modules. The first, the Multi-band Limiter, processes the signal in 8 active bands to better control spectral areas triggering limiting (for example, overly energetic lows or aggressive attacks). Unlike traditional crossover-based approaches, this processing aims for better phase response and a more natural action when pushing levels.

The second module, the Master Limiter, uses the algorithm from the famous ML4000 and its limiting modes. The goal: to finalize the output level with a precise signature, maintaining a clean sound on dense passages as well as isolated peaks.

"Brick wall" look-ahead and multi-stage detection

With its brick wall look-ahead, ML8000 Native anticipates transients to avoid overshoots and produce clean limiting, particularly useful on the master bus. The multi-stage and multi-band detection improves how the plugin "understands" peaks: you get more control and often fewer side effects (pumping, hardness, loss of impact) at comparable settings.

Knee, Mode, and Focus controls to shape behavior

The Knee, Mode, and Focus controls let you adjust the character of the limiting: smoother or sharper transitions, stricter or more lenient behavior, and prioritization of the signal area to monitor. This is an asset to tailor ML8000 Native to your intent: a very dense but clean master, or a more dynamic result with a secured output ceiling.

Double precision, low latency, and mono/stereo versions

Double precision processing ensures high calculation accuracy, appreciated when working close to limits in mastering. Low latency facilitates integration in busy sessions, and the availability of mono and stereo versions makes the plugin relevant on vocals, bass, drum buses, as well as inserted on the master.
