What MDrumLeveler Is For
MDrumLeveler is a dynamic processing plugin designed for drums and percussion. It evens out the levels of toms, snare, kick, and percussion, cleans close-mic tracks from bleed, and replaces complex chains of compressor+gate+manual editing. Perfect for pop, electro, metal, and any style where hit consistency and mix precision are essential, while preserving the natural sound of the instrument.
Main Features
Transparent Event-Based Processing
Unlike compressors that modify gain sample-by-sample, MDrumLeveler detects events (hits) and adjusts their level individually. The result: homogeneous hits, without pumping or artifacts, with AGC and a safety limiter to maintain clean headroom.
Envelope Sculpting and Cleaning
Extend the body of a kick, tighten the release of a snare, or remove ambience between hits. The event detector is highly adjustable, including two parallel resonant band-pass filters to target the dominant frequencies of the processed element. The plugin supports M/S, mono/stereo, multichannel up to 8 channels, and ambisonics up to 64 channels.
Workflow and Performance
