Designed as a "precise vocal dynamic shaper," Enshape instantly stabilizes the levels of lead vocals, doubles, choirs, podcasts, and voice-overs. It evens out soft and loud passages without pumping or squashing, while preserving naturalness. The built-in expansion restores micro-dynamic relief and allows emphasizing articulation or opening up a dense vocal performance.
DAEA technology captures the volume curve of your signal and displays it in real time via two distinct envelopes. The processing adapts to the actual transient intensity: quiet sections are compressed as effectively as powerful passages, for a consistent and musical result.
The Input envelope (blue) adjusts the analysis sensitivity via Attack/Release. The Target envelope (yellow) defines the correction goal. Longer Attack times reduce the transient, while longer Release times extend the sustain and note tail. This decoupling offers fine control impossible with a classic compressor.
Beyond simple dynamic reduction, Enshape allows shaping the attack to cut through a dense mix, smoothing unwanted sibilance, and opening the perceived stereo field by reinforcing the sustain foundation. Controlled expansion revives the energy of overly tame takes without causing over-compression.
The blue/yellow envelopes provide immediate visual feedback on settings. With just a few gestures, you lock in a stable vocal level, ready for equalization, saturation, or time-based effects downstream in the chain.
