Aligner is a plug-in dedicated to multi-mic recordings and doubled sources. It synchronizes the signal arrival between different tracks-for example, overheads and snare, DI and guitar amp, stereo pair and close mic-to restore constructive frequency addition and transient focus.
The plug-in evaluates the time offset between tracks and applies the necessary compensation to realign the signals "in phase." It simultaneously manages polarity to avoid bass cancellations and the sensation of a "hollow" mix.
Designed for daily use, Aligner reduces manual back-and-forth: a few adjustments are enough to achieve a clean and reproducible result, whether on a multichannel drum kit, guitar reamp, or a set of ambient microphones.
Besides automatic alignment, manual settings allow adjustments down to the millisecond or sample level, with correlation meters to visually and audibly validate the correction. Compatible with the most common Mac and Windows environments.
