What Consequence Is For
Consequence is a "Chord Synquencer" designed to quickly generate harmonic progressions, arpeggios, and synchronized drum/synth patterns. Ideal for composing electronic music, pop, scoring, or sound design, it transforms a few held chords on the keyboard into melodic lines, pulsing basses, and rhythmic textures ready to mix.
Main Features
Chord Sequencer and Arpeggiator
At the heart of the creative flow, the chord sequencer selects from 16 chord memories that you define. Five parallel sequencers independently control notes, accents, filters, modulation, and effects. Precise control over arpeggio directions, "Tie" connections, octaves, and "Arp/Chord" mode allows you to fine-tune your melodies step by step.
Sound Library and Synthesis
Load up to three sampled instruments (analog synths, strings, percussion, etc.) and shape them via Octave, Pan, Level, ADSR, "Age," and "Crush" to break the sterility of samples. Each instrument can adopt a distinct triggering mode (chord or arpeggio) to interlace complex patterns.
Modulation, Effects, and Master Section
The modulation section offers separate patterns for each part, filter, and effects to continuously animate your groove. On output, the Master section provides fine tuning, a bus compressor, and a 4/4 kick drum serving as a rhythmic guide or pumping source in sidechain when routed exclusively to the compressor.
Workflow and DAW Integration
Freely mix rhythms, sequences, and sound banks: pattern and sound presets substitute independently to multiply variations. The MIDI output (VST/AAX) triggers your external generators, while drag-and-drop MIDI export speeds up arrangement in your DAW.
