MultiDynamics 7 is a multiband dynamics processor designed for mastering, mixing, and sound design. It allows control over targeted frequency ranges without affecting the rest of the spectrum: compressing a vocal midrange without touching the kick and bass, brightening low-level cymbals, reducing noise with multiband gating, performing selective ducking under a voice, or shaping transients with surgical precision.
Benefit from up to six bands each equipped with a full compressor or expander/gate, with crossover slopes of 6/18/30 dB/octave and a proprietary filter network that eliminates amplitude distortion between bands. Adjustable knees and lookahead ensure smooth response, with zero latency when lookahead is disabled and built-in latency compensation.
Each band can be driven by the input signal or an external sidechain, in wideband or filtered, including via a separate sidechain EQ. The Learn function automatically sets thresholds based on detected peak or RMS levels, speeding up the setup of consistent settings.
The new dark-themed interface highlights a comprehensive visualization of the dynamic EQ response, a highly configurable real-time spectrum display, input meters with dedicated input gain, as well as customizable display ranges for dynamic gains and levels. Per-band controls (bypass, solo, mute) facilitate critical listening.
A final peak limiter secures your levels. The metering module supports Peak, Peak & RMS, RMS, and K-System to maintain level references throughout mixing or mastering.
