Waves Clarity Vx Pro is a vocal cleaning plugin designed to speed up post-production and mixing whenever the recording contains ambient noise: ventilation, traffic, set noise, breath, room tone, or variable sound pollution from scene to scene. It integrates into a modern DAW workflow (editing, mixing, sound design, podcast, voice-over, dubbing) allowing you to edit and mix in context without having to export, render, or recalculate files.

Its uniqueness lies in delivering high-level noise reduction in a single instance, while maintaining control over parameters fine enough to meet broadcast and film standards. And if your goal is the opposite (to keep the production sound but remove the speech), Clarity Vx Pro also allows you to reduce the voice to generate realistic "fills" under ADR, Foley, or ambience.

Real-time AI processing, no noise learning required

Clarity Vx Pro relies on neural networks trained on a very large volume of voice examples to quickly distinguish what belongs to speech and what is background noise. The result: you hear the cleaning immediately during playback, and you can adjust your setting in picture or in the mix, non-destructively, without "capturing" a noise profile at each new take.

One main control, then advanced settings when you need them

The plugin is designed for speed: turn the main control to dose the reduction, then refine if necessary with production-oriented advanced functions. This approach limits back-and-forth and avoids chaining multiple modules, while retaining the precision expected on complex dialogue.

4 Neural Networks to adapt reduction to the source

Depending on the recording, you can choose a neural network better suited: Broad 1 to better preserve the main voice and possible secondary voices, Broad 1 HF for enhanced high-frequency preservation, Broad 2 when noise is severe and better isolation of the main voice from background voices is needed, and Broad ECO to reduce CPU load in heavy sessions with multiple instances.

6-band multiband, global control, and finishing tools

For difficult cases, the 6-band architecture allows different treatment of each frequency range, with per-band controls (dose, listen, bypass, delta, and gain). A VCA-type control then drives the overall intensity while maintaining the balance between bands. You also have a reflections control to reintroduce a more natural feel after reduction, an intelligent ambience gate sensitive to voice (useful to lower residues between phrases), a width setting to sum stereo output to mono, an auto-reset of the AI engine in case of profile switching, and a limiter to prevent digital clipping.

Full automation for editing and mixing

Clarity Vx Pro is fully automatable, including advanced settings. You can therefore adapt the cleaning scene by scene, phrase by phrase, or verse by verse, without duplicating tracks or multiplying instances, which greatly speeds up dialogue editing and vocal mixing.
