Complete software
Waves DTS Neural Surround Collection is a suite of plugins dedicated to converting and adapting audio formats between mono, stereo, and surround. It meets the needs of sound engineers in post-production, broadcast teams (sports, concerts, shows), as well as studios that need to quickly deliver multiple versions of the same program (stereo, 5.1, 7.1) without fully reconstructing the mix.
It is also useful for modernizing archives: transforming a mono recording into usable stereo, or "expanding" a stereo mix into an immersive environment to integrate it into multichannel broadcasting, while maintaining coherent playback on standard listening systems.
The DTS Neural Surround UpMix module allows real-time conversion of a stereo source to 5.1 or 7.1. The goal is to create a credible surround field, with a sense of separation and space, while respecting the original mix intent. This approach is especially appreciated when delivering a multichannel version from a stereo master, or for live mixing environments alternating between stereo content and surround broadcast.
With DTS Neural Surround DownMix, you bring a 5.1 or 7.1 mix down to stereo while maintaining reliable balance and expected compatibility in broadcast and post-production. This helps quickly produce stereo versions of surround programs, with sound continuity adapted to platforms and traditional broadcasting.
DTS Neural Mono2Stereo transforms a mono source into stereo in real time. This is a relevant solution for voices, archives, or mono elements to be integrated into a larger production when you want to widen the image without resorting to complex effects chains.
The collection is designed to fit naturally into modern sessions, with real-time conversion and a "delivery"-oriented approach: practical controls, consistency, and speed of execution. It can also serve as a software alternative to replace older hardware conversion equipment, while gaining daily ease of use.
