Addictive Trigger is a drum replacement software designed to replace or reinforce drums recorded in real conditions. It is aimed at sound engineers, drummers, and producers who want to achieve a more consistent, punchier, or simply different sound while preserving the feel of a live performance. It is particularly effective on sessions where bleed (cymbals in snare mics, tom bleed, room noise) complicates traditional triggering workflows, and helps save time by reducing the need for manual corrections.
Instead of relying solely on basic filtering and transient detection, Addictive Trigger uses Audio Fingerprint, an identification method based on FFT analysis. The goal is clear: to improve hit detection accuracy, reduce ghost triggers, and limit missed hits, even when the source contains a lot of background noise or microphone bleed.
The matching technology allows detecting lightly played ghost notes while rejecting unwanted elements. Another strong point: Addictive Trigger can differentiate types of hits played at similar levels (for example, sidestick and more open snare hits), to trigger coherent and musical articulations, as close as possible to the original playing.
