A complete sound system, which you can wear at the same time as your instrument: here is the MAUI 28 G3. The two half-columns in their padded shoulder bag, the subwoofer in one hand, the guitar or keyboard in the other ? and off you go! The assembly of the system, which serves as both a front-of-house sound system and monitors, is very easy, thanks to the specific multipoint connectors. Compact and elegant, the MAUI 28 G3 ensures unbeatable sound quality and remarkable range. This system draws on several years of experience in the design of column/cab combinations, and constitutes an intuitive and easy-to-use solution for small to medium-sized concerts, as well as in fixed installations. The MAUI 28 G3 is equipped with two 8-inch woofers, sixteen 3-inch midrange drivers and two 1-inch neodymium magnet tweeters. These transducers are powered by a lightweight Class D amplifier with an enormous power of 2000 W peak; they provide energetic bass, well-balanced midrange and smooth, precise treble. DSP DynX® technology, exclusive to LD Systems, ensures excellent performance in all circumstances, without any distortion. It uses a multi-band limiter preventing any overload, an equalizer, a compressor and a 3-band crossover filter with phase correction. The line array design of the MAUI 28 G3 ensures a longer range, better resistance to feedback and a wider coverage, making the need for separate stage monitors superfluous. The tweeter waveguide was developed using finite element calculation (BEM) for the digital simulation of radiation and sound energy distribution. It reduces reflections on the floor and ceiling, avoids edge effects and obtains homogeneous dispersion. In other words, the audience can hear you from the last row as well as the first!
