From the iconic blueSky to V2: the compact reverb that sets the standard
A true icon of modern pedalboards, the blueSky redefined reverb in a compact format. This V2 takes the legacy even further: new ARM DSP, completely redesigned Spring algorithm, enhanced Shimmer, and updated ergonomics. The result: a tool that is more powerful, more flexible, and always musical, equally at home in the studio or in front of a tube amp.
Who is it for, and for what?
Ideal for guitarists and bassists seeking depth, for keyboards and synths, or as an insert on a mixing console. From surf and blues-rock styles (Spring) to post-rock, ambient, and worship atmospheres (Plate and Room), it excels live as well as in the studio. The line level adjustment provides the necessary headroom for sources with high dynamics, effects loops, and vocals.
Key Controls and Features
The
Mix,
Decay, and
Pre-Delay controls precisely sculpt the space. The
Low and
High EQ tighten the lows and soften the highs for perfect placement in the mix. The
Shimmer adds a harmonic dimension suited to each reverb type, while the
Mod switch selects the modulation depth. Full stereo (TRS input, L/R outputs) and the
Favorites footswitch speed up sound recall. Full MIDI control and expression input open the door to automation and smooth transitions.
Sound
blueSky V2 delivers lush, silky tails, exemplary dynamics, and a natural response to touch.
Plate offers smooth trails worthy of top studios,
Room ranges from intimate small rooms to spacious arenas, and
Spring reproduces vintage splash with modern musicality. The
Shimmer adds either a regenerative octave, an octave plus fifth, or a lower octave with hypnotic movements depending on the chosen mode, for immersive soundscapes without artifacts. The JFET preamp provides an organic grain and preserves attack, even with extreme settings.
